5 quick questions for Silvia

1. What is your background?

  • I come from northern Norway and moved to Oslo after high school. I did secretarial studies at Wang, and as a newly qualified secretary, I got a job at the same school. I worked at the school until a few years later I went to Australia for my university studies. From there I have a Bachelor of Multimedia, and in the early 2000s I worked at a company that created websites for famous people. I met Mari Maurstad at work one day, and the rest is history.

2. What is your connection to Zulufadder?

  • I have been the Zulufadder project manager in South Africa since I came to Eshowe in 2006 as a volunteer for the project.

3. What is your current goal?

  • My biggest goal is to ensure our beneficiaries get a good education so that they can support themselves and their family. I want to build a structure that allows more young people to have this opportunity in the future.

4. What is your life motto?

  • You only have one life – do something you enjoy.

5. What makes you stand out in a crowd?

  • I am very interested in local people and ask many questions to understand the larger context.
